Monash eResearch Partners with NCI

Monash University and the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) have established a scheme that allows Monash researchers to obtain allocations on the Gadi supercomputer.

The scheme is currently supported by Monash eResearch and the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering. It is open to other faculties joining as well.

A total of 37.5 million service units will be available in 2024. Applications to Gadi are advertised by eResearch at the end of each quarter through an open call and are open to all researchers and research students across the university.

The allocations are granted through a lightweight merit allocation process. This year, Q2 and Q3 have already attracted over 100 applications.
