National Computational Merit Allocation Scheme (NCMAS)
13 August 2024
Monash is amongst Australia's most successful universities, getting over 100 MSUs in Pawsey and NCI every year through NCMAS.
The two Tier-1 HPC facilities in Australia, the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) and the Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre, together offer hundreds of millions of hours of computing time to meritorious researchers.
Applications to NCMAS need to justify the need for access to high-end compute and present the merit of the research. Further, it is important to show that the code can run on the NCI or Pawsey systems and can scale at the level required for the grant. To help with this grant application, eResearch can provide a small amount of computing time to test code and workflow as a pilot.
If you are interested in applying for NCMAS and would like some help or resources to test your code, you can request 1 kSU by filling in the request form.
This offer is available to Monash staff members only.
