How to contribute.
The online Hanmun-English dictionary is a collaborative project. The editors invite contributions from students and researchers of pre-modern Korean literature and history. If you wish to make a contribution, please use the links below. This will allow the editors to moderate your contribution and ensure consistency. Contributions can be single characters or commonly used collocations (combinations). Please select characters or collocations that are frequently found in pre-modern Korean sources and that you think will be of use to other students and researchers using Hanmun. Prior to submitting your contribution, please ensure you have (1) the character(s) (2) the Korean pronunciation (and alternative pronunciation if necessary) and the saegim (if known) (3) an clear explanation of the meaning and usage of the character(s) in English. You may also provide explanations in other languages (4) (highly recommended) an example sentence from an authentic pre-modern Korean source (5) (if necessary) information about the source of the sentence and a link to the text if it is available online (6) information about permissions and acknowledgements (you should indicate whether permissions are required to reproduce the text and whether you wish to be acknowledged for your contribution).
To process your contribution you will be required to fill in a short google form with a series of 15 questions. It should take 10 minutes to complete if you prepared the information.

Report errors
If you see errors of translations , explanations, pronunciation or any other inaccuracy that you think should be updated and improved upon, then please follow the link on the main page to report the issue.
Again you will be required to fill in a short google form with a series of questions. It should take 5-6 minutes to complete.
