Professor Jian Li leads effort to treat fatal lung infections with NIH funding

Led by Professor Jian Li, a recent R01 grant from the US National Institutes of Health has garnered publicity internationally with PublicNow reporting on the team's expectations of the projects' success leading to therapies that will save many lives from fatal multi-drug resistant lung infections. This international collaboration with Assistant Professor Qi (Tony) Zhou, from Purdue University, and Professor Alan Forrest, from the University of North Carolina, will provide US$2.4 million over the next four years to combat deadly Gram-negative lung infections.
