Monash BDI Mental Health and Wellbeing committee
The Monash BDI Mental Health and Wellbeing committee is a committee which provides guidance and recommendations to the People and Culture committee, which directly advises the Monash BDI Executive.
Terms of reference
The committee specifically aim to:
- Increase the visibility and ease of access of programs, resources, activities and training for mental health and wellbeing for the BDI community.
- Implement strategies to enhance employee awareness and understanding of mental health and wellbeing, including the identification, management and mitigation of mental health and psychosocial risks. To achieve this, the committee will promote evidence-based practices and foster a positive culture surrounding mental health and psychosocial safety across all levels of the BDI.
- Develop and propose targeted, evidence-informed initiatives to actively support mental health and wellbeing within the BDI. The committee will work across the BDI to review existing supports, identify gaps and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure sustainable and measurable outcomes.
The committee’s terms of reference are aligned with the Monash Health and Wellbeing Strategic Action Plan.
