Protecting your IP

Intellectual property is much more than patents, it can also be ideas, processes, unique reagents, trade secrets, devices, new small molecules, new peptides and new biological reagents including antibodies.  If you think you have discovered or created any of these, lets talk about how it may generate impact for you and the University. This means protecting your discovery or work. When intellectual property is protected it encourages individuals and industry to invest to drive research and develop innovative products and services.

Monash University has a comprehensive policy to cover ownership of intellectual property created by its staff and students.
