Skills training activities

Doctoral students are required to undertake a major research project culminating in a thesis, in addition to 120 hours of skills training and four compulsory induction activities. These skills training consists of:

  • 60 hours of Excellence in Research & Teaching; and
  • 60 hours of Professionalism, Innovation & Career.

All of our students must complete the following activities during their first year (before confirmation): The four compulsory induction activities are:

  • Monash Graduate Research Induction (online)

  • Respectful Research at Monash (online)

  • Faculty Induction (Online and Face to Face)
  • New students are required to complete online faculty induction.
    The Biomedicine Graduate Program holds induction sessions for newly enrolled students in April and October each year. Registration and links available in MyDevelopment.
