Hear from our graduates
When asked for their tips for students considering an Honours year, our graduates gave this advice:
- “Find a project that you’re really interested in.”
- “Actively work on developing a good relationship with your supervisor. You will need their help, support and respect if – or when – things don’t go according to plan with your research.”
- “Be willing to work hard – very hard.”
- “Effort = reward.”
- “The supervisor is almost more important than the project – you need to be able to approach them, and also to ask them for references when you’ve finished your Honours year.”
- “Just go for it”
