STEP ONE: Check the entry requirements.
You should use the links below to be sure you are eligible to apply for this program. If you are unsure, seek advice from the Honours co-ordinators.
*Australian and New Zealand citizens, or holders of permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visas
STEP TWO: Find a research project and supervisor
To get an idea of what kinds of research projects are available to Honours students, see the section above How do I choose a supervisor and research project.
Once you have chosen a research area of interest, it is YOUR responsibility to contact relevant staff and arrange a particular project and supervisor. This can be a time-consuming process so make sure you start well in advance of the application closing date.
You must make contact with your prospective supervisor BEFORE you submit your application forms.
STEP THREE: Submit your research project application form
You are required to complete and submit a departmental project selection form if you choose to enrol in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in one of the five biomedical related fields within the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute. Once you have selected your project, complete the application form – ensuring you, your supervisor (and co-supervisor if applicable) and the relevant Honours co-ordinator have each signed it.
STEP FOUR: Formally apply for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) program
Apply online: You then need to upload your completed application form as a PDF file. Please be sure to have all the relevant signatures or the application will not be considered.
Apply for the S3701 Bachelor of Science (Honours) program using Monash University’s eAdmission form
If you have a query about the application process, please submit an enquiry online via ask.monash or call 1800 MONASH (1800 666 274).
