The Matheson Society lunch was hosted this year by our new Chancellor, Professor Simon McKeon AO, at the Parkville campus. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet with fellow Matheson Society members and to hear from donor Margot Sharpe and student scholarship recipient Georgina Pennefather about the incredible impact a bequest can have for students. Georgina is the recipient of the Thea Pärnamäe Rural Pharmacy Bursary which supports Pharmacy students from rural areas, ‘it’s taken the pressure off me financially. I really appreciate someone recognising that I do have to go that little bit further.
