Monash University, Indonesia Offers Master’s Program Pathway to Excellence for LPDP Scholars to become Indonesian Change Makers
Through a world-class curriculum tailored to the dynamic landscape of Indonesia, Monash University, Indonesia offers six master's programs that empower students to drive meaningful change while continually advancing their professional journeys.
Jakarta, 7 February 2024 - In 2023, the number of scholarship recipients from the Indonesia Endowment Funds for Education (LPDP), a collaborative initiative of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, has surged to nearly 10,000 individuals. Notably, 60% of the recipients opted to continue their studies at domestic universities.
The increasing numbers could help tackle Indonesia’s demographic challenge, where most of the population is in the productive age (68%). Learning new skills becomes crucial for them to remain relevant amid significant opportunities in the digital economy and the increasingly complex environmental challenges. The high demand for skill enhancement aligns with the advancements in technology. According to 2019 research data, automation has the potential to raise Indonesia's GDP growth and generate higher incomes for workers in the country. The data also predicts that by 2030, between 27 and 46 million new jobs could be created in Indonesia. But, at the same time, 23 million workers may lose their livelihoods being replaced by automation.
In response to this dynamic landscape, Monash University, with its top 50 global rankings, offers a unique proposition: helping individuals in elevating their skills, ensuring preparedness for the future, while seamlessly advancing their careers in Indonesia. Aligned with its commitment to bridging academic achievements and professional growth, Monash University, Indonesia, is recognized as a designated destination for the LPDP domestic scholarship program, a testament to its dedication. With no need for trade-offs, the advanced higher education at Monash University, Indonesia, features a world-class curriculum tailored to the dynamic Indonesian landscape, empowering students to drive meaningful changes while consistently progressing in their professional journeys.
