Accelerating Education, Research, and Innovation to Develop Future-Ready Talent for Indonesia

The collaboration reflects the principles of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, the threefold mission of higher education covering education, research, and community service, and supports the national agenda for human capital development. Its main objectives are:

  1. Enhancing access to world-class education for students of Indonesia's top state universities, right at home.
  2. Reinforcing support for Indonesia's national development agenda by cultivating globally competitive talent, with an emphasis on STEM disciplines and enhancing doctoral capacity through joint programs and co-supervision.
  3. Expanding complementary collaboration that combines the global standards of an international university with the local relevance and contextual understanding of Indonesia's state universities.

Through this synergy, Monash University, Indonesia, UGM, and UNJ will develop accelerated Bachelor–Master pathways, dual-degree programs, and collaborative research to address both national and global challenges. With these initiatives, the three institutions reaffirm their commitment to strengthening Indonesia's higher education through strategic partnerships that deliver tangible impact. This collaboration also serves as a cross-sector model that expands access to quality education, drives innovative research, and prepares future leaders ready to compete on the global stage.
