Indonesia, 19 March 2024 - Entering the third year of its establishment, Monash University, Indonesia, has accomplished various milestones through active participation in fostering impactful strategic partnerships and navigating issues through transformative multidisciplinary research. Most recently, Monash University, Indonesia, published a research paper titled ‘Navigating Climate Change Issues in the 2024 Elections’, highlighting political party leaders' lack of emphasis on climate change. This publication became one of the 200 research papers published in the last three years, receiving upward of Rp 20 billion in research grant funding. These achievements reflect Monash University, Indonesia's pivotal role as a catalyst for positive societal change, aligning with its Change It campaign and Impact 2030 strategic plan.
Coinciding with its three-year journey in the country, Monash University, Indonesia, proudly announced the appointment of Professor Matthew Nicholson as the Pro Vice-Chancellor and President on February 19th. This appointment aligns with the University's aspiration to become a hub of world-class research excellence in Southeast Asia. Monash University, Indonesia, officially inaugurated the Master of Marketing and Digital Communications, with the first intake in October this year as a part of its commitment to the region.
