Cardiology Trials Unit
About Us
The Cardiology Research unit has been engaged in more than 150 clinical trials. These trials have involved many different areas of cardiology such as the management of heart attacks, heart failure and abnormal heart rhythms. These have involved studying various diagnostic tests, medications and therapeutic procedures. By actively participating in the latest clinical trials, our group is able to keep up to date with the best treatments for our patients and also help pioneer new therapies. Our research team is involved in both industry-sponsored research and investigator initiated studies. We are closely affiliated with Monash University Eastern Clinical Research Unit and also have affiliations with two large registries of patients undergoing stenting procedures:
Melbourne Interventional Group (MIG)
Victorian Cardiac Outcomes Registry (VCOR)
