Applications are now open for a limited number of elective placements in 2027. Please review the forms and useful information linked below.
Closing dates for applications

Applications for elective placements should be submitted at least 3-months prior to desired placement dates. Where you have some flexibility with placement dates, applications should be submitted at least 3-months prior to the earliest possible commencement date.
Elective placements spanning different months should be submitted by the earliest corresponding date, eg. for a placement during March and April, apply by 30th Sept in the year prior.
*Due to the commencement of our local students, we cannot advise specific unit allocations for January-March placements until closer to the commencement date. Applicants must have flexibility in the speciality to be undertaken as an elective placement.
Applications received after the closing dates will still be considered, but elective placement specialties/disciplines will be more limited and an offer of placement cannot be guaranteed.
We recommended late applicants send an enquiry as to the availability of desired specialties/disciplines for required dates.
