We can help decipher what your patients issue/s may be as we offer a number of tests to help. Following the steps below you may be able to get to the bottom of your patients symptoms.
We offer Faecal Calprotectin testing through our IBD Laboratory to non-invasively determine inflammation in the Gastrointestinal Tract.
No significant inflammation shown
Dietary management of conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) using results from Carbohydrate Malabsorption Breath Testing has been shown to help reduce and control symptoms.
We offer testing for fructose, lactose and sorbitol malabsorption as well as glucose for Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) through our Breath Test Centre.
Significant inflammation shown
Further testing may be required to determine if your patient suffers from IBD such as Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. If this is confirmed and monitoring optimisation of the drug, Azathioprine (Imuran) is required, we offer Measurement of Thiopurine Metabolites through our IBD laboratory.
