Bus loop screens

The plasma screens located in the bus loop are considered to be external facing and must adhere to Monash University branding (except when partner communications are displayed).

Bus loop digital screens must contain all of our Monash brand elements listed:

  • Monash University logo
  • M device
  • Monash font
  • Monash primary colours (Monash blue must appear in some way)

The bus loop screens are extremely low resolution so best practice guidelines have been created to ensure the best quality is always applied.

Monash logo

The Monash logo must be a minimum 400px wide.
(This doesn’t include clear space)

Headline and copy

The Headline is to be either:

  1. a maximum of 3 lines and is to appear at 145pt or
  2. a maximum of 4 lines and is to appear at 130pt

The headline is to appear in all caps and weight can be Helvetica Neue Bold Condensed or Helvetica Neue Extra Black Condensed.

A keyline can be applied to add emphasis to key word/s within a headline. No more than two words per headline should appear in the keyline. The stroke applied should be 3.5pt.

Body copy is to be approximately 50% of the headline size. For example, if the headline is 145pt, the body copy is 72pt.

  1. No more that 3 lines if the body copy is 72pt (Heading 145pt)
  2. No more that 4 lines if the body copy is 65pt (Heading 130pt)

Helvetica Neue Regular Roman, Helvetica Neue Bold, Helvetica Neue Condensed or Helvetica Neue Bold Condensed can be used for body copy.

‘M’ device

The M device can be applied as a transparent M over an image or as a window in which an image can be placed inside. It can also be used as a keyline, but a minimum stroke of 5pt must be applied in order to ensure the integrity of the M.

Call to action

QR codes do not work on Bus loop screens. 
Please write the URL at a minimum of 63pt, and use a Monash blue box with white type to highlight the call to action to your audience.

Campus big screens

The campus big screens located centrally on our Clayton and Caulfield campuses must adhere to Monash University branding (except when partner communications are displayed).

Promotional material shown on our campus big screens must contain all of our Monash brand elements listed:

  • Monash University logo
  • M device
  • Monash font
  • Monash primary colours (Monash blue must appear in some way)

The campus big screens are low resolution so best practice guidelines have been created to ensure the best quality is always applied.

The Monash logo must be a minimum 355px wide. (This doesn’t include clear space)

Headline and copy

The headline is to be either:

  • a maximum of 3 lines and is to appear at 130pt or
  • a maximum of 4 lines and is to appear at 116pt

The headline is to appear in all caps and weight can be Helvetica Neue Bold Condensed or Helvetica Neue Extra Black Condensed.
