We encourage staff to use the below template, insert their details and apply the format styles as shown. If you're employed with Monash in a dual role, please refer to examples four and five below.
Font needs to be sans serif and 12 point or 'normal' if copied into Gmail. Depending on your email service provider, you may need to adjust your font to either Helvetica Neue or Arial. If copying the template into Apple Mail signatures, please ensure 'Always match my default message font' is unchecked.

Email signature banners
Banners, imagery, logos or additional text are not to be included in signatures unless prior approval has been granted from University Marketing, Admissions and Communications.
At times, it's beneficial to use the space at the base of an email to promote University events for a short and fixed period of time. A banner should never replace your signature.
Email signature banners should take into consideration:
- Other channels you can use for the communication. Is there an alternative to an email signature banner?
- Having the least amount of text possible locked into the banner. Banners with words locked into them are not legible to our audiences who require accessible text.
- An appropriate image or design to create impact.
Rules around displaying your banner:
- Banners are temporary and never permanent. They should be based around a specific event or time period. They should run for a maximum of four weeks before being removed.
- Banners must always be 600 pixels in width, with a height of between 150 and 450 pixels.
- Only one banner may be displayed per email. Multiple banners are not allowed.
- If you plan to include the logo, ‘M’ device, or multi-audience lockup then include this inside the design of the banner.
- Usual brand guidelines apply to your banner.
- All banners need to be submitted for brand review.
