World AMR Awareness Week Morning Tea 2025

Our Future Leaders in AMR joined the global recognition of World Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Week by hosting a morning tea that brought together colleagues from across Monash University. ☕

The event was a great success, with many attendees dressing in shades of blue to show their support, sharing knowledge, and engaging in meaningful conversations about AMR.🦠 🧫

Prof. Dena Lyras highlighted the importance of increasing awareness and the role we all play in addressing this growing global health challenge.

Our Future Leaders in AMR team joined the celebration alongside the Malaysian campus representatives, who marked the week with their own activities. Prof. Anton Y. Peleg and Prof.Trevor Lithgow, visiting for a conference, joined the Malaysian team in raising awareness and showing their support by dressing in blue.💙

AMR continues to be one of the most pressing threats to global health, and events like these remind us that awareness, collaboration, and action start with all of us.🙏🧑‍⚕️
