Trianggoro Wiradinata, Dean of UC's School of Information Technology (SIFT), welcomed this collaboration, particularly for the implementation of the Fast Track Program.
"This academic sector collaboration is highly strategic. Students from the School of Information Technology (SIFT) are enthusiastic about this program, considering Monash University is one of the best universities in Australia," he said.
The Fast Track Program is specifically designed for SIFT students, covering both Informatics and Information Systems for Business study programs.
This program offers students the opportunity to complete their Bachelor's degree at UC and Master's degree at Monash University, Indonesia in just 5 years.
"SIFT students will certainly not face difficulties. They are not only technically strong but also have good communication skills. While engineering students typically struggle to convey ideas, UC's SIFT students are capable of communicating effectively," he added.
"Moreover, the entrepreneurial mindset instilled at UC will support students' success in this Fast Track Program," he continued.
The hope is that through this Fast Track Program, UC can contribute towards Indonesia's Golden Era 2045 by producing high-quality graduates with a global perspective.
Meanwhile, UC's Deputy Head of International Relations, Gelar Nanggala Wahyu Sagara Putra, explained that Monash University, Indonesia offered collaboration for various study programs at UC.
However, after a review and discussion process, it was decided that as a pilot project, this Fast Track Program would first be implemented at SIFT.
"There's a possibility that this program will be opened to other study programs at UC in the future. In detail, the study duration will be divided into 3.5 years at UC," he stated.
"One year at Monash University, Indonesia, and 1 semester at Monash University, Australia. In a total of 5 years, students will earn two degrees: a Bachelor's from UC and a Master's from Monash University," he concluded.
