What we expect from you
To complete the program, you will need to commit to the following:
- Attend the full day induction on Friday 26th February 2027.
- Attend 8 evening leadership workshops held during the year.
- Attend the celebration dinner at the end of the program.

How to Apply
To be eligible for the program, you must be enrolled in your penultimate or final year of your Bachelor of Biomedical Science degree in 2027, including cross-faculty double degrees.
Exclusions:
This program is not available to students in the Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) program.
Prohibitions;
If you have applied for another leadership program at Monash University (eg Ancora Imparo, Science Future Leaders), you are welcome to apply the BDI Emerging Leaders Program.
However, be aware that you must choose to do one or the other (i.e. you cannot do both).
Entry into the program will be based on:
- satisfactory academic progress;
- student responses to selection questions in the application form and
- an interview video.
There is a quota of 30 students per year.

- Step 1 – Written Application

- Step 2 – Interview
If shortlisted, you’ll be invited to attend an interview in the week beginning 16 November

All workshops will run from 6pm-8pm and are delivered in person.
