Deirdre O’Neill – Course Director, Master of Public Policy and Management, Monash University, Indonesia
Associate Professor Deirdre O'Neill is Director, Public Policy Graduate Programs in the Faculty of Arts at Monash University. In this capacity, she is the Course Director of the Master of Public Policy, and the Course Director of the Master of Public Policy and Management taught at Monash Indonesia.
As Academic Director, she led the internationally renowned Executive Master of Public Administration at the Australia and New Zealand School of Government for six years. While at ANZSOG she also established a major senior public sector leadership program for the Pacific for AusAID, the Australian government's international aid agency.
Her current research focus includes declonising pedagogy, prisons privatisation, public sector reform and accountability. She has numerous publications, including an edited book (The Contract State: Public Management and the Kennett Government), book chapters and articles in refereed Australian and international journals. She is the co-author of Business, Government and Globalization (Palgrave Macmillan, 2008). She is an Academic Fellow of ANZSOG and chairs the ANZSOG Human Research Ethics Committee.
Quinton Temby – Assistant Professor, Public Policy, Monash University, Indonesia
Quinton Temby is Assistant Professor in Public Policy at Monash Indonesia. He received his PhD in political science from the Australian National University in 2017. His research interests are at the intersection of technology policy and security policy, with a background in research on violent extremism in Southeast Asia. Having consulted widely in the government and private sectors, Dr Temby’s work engages a broad range of public policy areas
Prior to joining Monash, he was a Visiting Fellow at the ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute in Singapore, where he helped to establish the Media, Technology, and Society programme. Prior to that, he was a lecturer in the School of Arts at Murdoch University. As an increasing proportion of economic, social, and political life takes place online, his research has focused on issues arising from digital technology, such as disinformation, internet culture, and social media content moderation.
Dr Anggawira MM, MH – Secretary General, Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI)
Dr. Anggawira MM, MH is an accomplished entrepreneur, educator, and thought leader with a diverse and extensive background spanning government, business, and social sectors. Over the years, he has held key roles in the legislative and executive branches of the government, serving as an expert staff for the DPR RI, Senior Advisor to the Governor of DKI Jakarta, and Senior Advisor to the Investment Ministry and Board of Supervisor SKK Migas. His expertise has contributed significantly to the growth of various industries, including Krakatau Niaga Indonesia, KHI Pipe Industries, and JSK GAS Industries.
Dr. Anggawira's commitment to education is exemplified by his lecturing positions at Universitas Islam Asyafiiyah and STIH IBLAM, as well as his numerous degrees and certifications in engineering, management, and law. His accomplishments have been recognized with awards such as the Kemendikbud Award and Top Outstanding Young Person by Junior Chamber Indonesia.
In addition to his professional work, Dr. Anggawira has been active in social and youth organizations, holding leadership positions in Yayasan Inovasi Indonesia Maju, KNPI, Indonesian Association of Muslim Intellectuals, Indonesia Youth Agriculturist Association, HMI, and Junior Chamber Indonesia. He has also played an influential role in numerous business and entrepreneurial organizations, such as HIPMI, Indonesia Energy, Mineral & Coal Supplier Association, Kadin Indonesia, PERJAKBI, and APPSI.
Dr. Anggawira is also a prolific writer, with publications on innovation, energy investments, and the development of Indonesia's business environment. His numerous achievements and dedication to education, youth development, and fostering economic growth make him an inspiring figure for aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals alike.
Sabina Satriyani Puspita - Associate Director and Research Fellow
Sabina is Associate Director for the Monash Herb Feith Indonesian Engagement Centre and Research Fellow for the Monash Indonesia Institute for Advanced Research (MI IFAR). Her research interests include topics about democratization, political institutions, social movements, and gender.
While she studies these topics extensively on any regions with her through a historical comparative approach, Sabina’s research focuses primarily on the Southeast and Northeast Asian regions. Sabina is completing her doctoral training in comparative politics and international relations at the Department of Political Science in Northwestern University, Illinois, U.S.A. Sabina had just defended her dissertation entitled “The Butterfly Effect: Stealth Politics by the Reformist Women’s Movement in Indonesia in the Struggle for Gender Equality, 1945-Present.”
