Omi, Cassava and Gratitude
Omi lives in a small village in Kupang, Indonesia. She is 10 years old. Last year, her family couldn’t grow their corn because of climate change. They feel sad about this. But Omi has an idea to help her family this year. How can Omi help her family? What do they do to survive? Come and read this exciting story!
This children's story comes from research about how people in Eastern Indonesia learn to face climate change. Climate change is a big problem, and some people feel the effects more, especially older people, women, and people with disabilities. This research focuses on places where climate change is a big challenge. It also helps people share their stories through the research project: "Developing a Model of Future-proofing for Climate Resilience by Engaging Communities in Eastern Indonesia."
We hope this book helps many people be stronger and ready for the future.
