Where we are

Our laboratory is co-located with the Drug Target Identification node of the Monash Proteomics and Metabolomics Platform, providing direct access to high resolution (Orbitrap Astral) LC-MS for metabolomics, lipidomics and proteomics studies. We enjoy developing and adopting cutting-edge omics-based methods including:
- Stable-isotope tracing
- Label-free target identification with solvent proteome profiling or limited proteolysis
- Protein or metabolite tagging and pull-downs (chemical biology)
- Interactomics with chemical cross-linking
- Native protein MS
- Spatial metabolomics (MALDI/SALDI)
- Targeted metabolomics for challenging metabolite classes/pathways
Our cell culture laboratory specializes in parasite culturing and routinely conducts a comprehensive range of parasitology assays, including but not limited to:
- Drug sensitivity testing
- Resistance selection protocols
- Drug pulse sensitivity assays
- Synchronisation of parasite life cycles
- The preparation of parasite pellets for downstream proteomic and metabolomic analyses
