Discovering New Strategies to Synthesise Bioactive Molecules
Our research focuses on the discovery of new synthetic methods and their application in medicinal chemistry and chemical biology. To achieve this, we investigate transition-metal catalysis and visible light irradiation to discover new modes of chemical reactivity that can be employed in applications such as the synthesis of new therapeutic agents, the late stage functionalisation of pharmaceuticals or the development of new tools for chemical biology.
Postgraduate students wishing to undertake a research project under the supervision of Dr Daniel Priebbenow should send a CV and academic transcript to Dan. Prospective industry partners or collaborators should also contact Dan for information on funding opportunities and projects.
