Monash Abroad has a variety of programs for you to consider for your study overseas.

A wide range of locations to study at in the world, while paying your Monash tuition fees.

Monash Global Campus IntensivesStudy intensive, interdisciplinary units at our global campuses.

Intensive mode, with flexibility in how many modules you can take - the amount of modules you select mean you can be studying for a minimum of 3 weeks, and a maximum of a semester.

As you are studying Monash units, the unit approval process is streamlined and marks appear on your Monash transcript. There is also flexibility with the length of your program due to the block-mode teaching.

Independent Study Abroad

Studying at an institution that does not have an exchange agreement with Monash.

One or two semesters

You can potentially choose to study at an institution that Monash does not have an exchange partnership with, provided it is approved by Monash (Monash fees are waived, but you must pay tuition fees to the host institution).

Monash Global Campus Semester (Global Intercampus Program)

Studying at our Monash campus in Malaysia or Australia, studying Monash unit(s).

Option of either one or two semesters for intercampus exchange, or shorter-term global study tours

As you are studying Monash units, the unit approval process is streamlined and marks appear on your Monash transcript. There is also a shorter application process, and Monash Malaysia funding packages available for eligible students.

Global Study Tours

Monash units that are taught overseas. Includes the Global Immersion Guarantee (GIG).

Varies with programs, but typically 2-3 weeks

As you are studying Monash units, the unit approval process is streamlined and marks appear on your Monash transcript. Units are taught overseas, usually by Monash staff, in locations which engage with the learning content.

Global Immersion Guarantee (GIG)12-credit point fieldwork elective unit in  one of six countries available to eligible students at the end of their first year of study.Two weeksFlights, accommodation, visas and all program costs are covered. As you are studying a Monash unit, the unit approval process is streamlined and marks appear on your Monash transcript.

Global Work Integrated Learning

Sometimes referred to as as internships or placements. Can be for credit and providing valuable work experience in your field.

Global Student-Led Initiatives

Not-for-credit opportunities related to your course and endorsed by your faculty.

There are a wide range of not for credit opportunities available, such as conferences, competitions, projects, entrepreneurial and leadership experiences.

Global Research Projects

Studying your field of study in greater depth for credit and/or to gain overseas research experience.

This program allows you with the unique opportunity of undertaking research overseas in your field of study, as a valuable professional and networking experience.

Global Conferences, Competitions and Leadership

Global activities approved for co-curricular or extra-curricular participation, usually offered through Monash-affiliated clubs or societies, Monash faculties or a central portfolio/unit (for example, ‘The Generator’).
