Monash and Yale collaborative grants program open

The Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute is working to tackle obesity and type 2 diabetes with one of the oldest universities in the US, Yale. Yale's program in Integrative Cell Signaling and Neurobiology of Metabolism and the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute's Metabolic Disease and Obesity Program have established a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to help tackle fundamental questions in obesity and type 2 diabetes and more broadly metabolism.
To enable the Monash-Yale alliance to flourish over what is a significant geographical separation, seed funding is available for collaborative projects, as well as for the necessary researcher exchange.
Up to four one-year project grants and five travel grants will be available per year for researchers engaged in metabolic research. Researchers collaborating with the Yale School of Medicine and the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute on research projects in the areas of metabolism, obesity and/or diabetes are eligible to apply.
Applications are open now, and close on November 21, 2016. To apply, download the guidelines and application form below, and submit your application to bdi-metabolism@monash.edu
