Physiology
Physiology
Our expertise spans a wide spectrum across integrative, cellular and molecular physiology, preparing you for careers as diverse as sleep science, forensic science and food technology. The applications are limitless.

About us
For more than 50 years our department has been internationally recognised for teaching and research. It is one of a decreasing number of places to learn and perform whole animal physiology research in the world.

Studying with us
Whether you decide to study physiology as part of the Bachelor of Science or the Bachelor of Biomedical Science, you'll benefit from a supportive environment and extensive facilities.

Department research
From cells, through animal models of disease and ultimately clinical(human) research, our studies develop basic discoveries into better understandings of disease and translate ideas into new therapies. Our principle research interests are sensory neuroscience, cardiovascular disease, pain, obesity and reproduction.

Our people
Meet our academic and research leaders. These scientists and academics are at the cutting edge of teaching and research innovation.
