Why study at the Monash BDI?
As a Master of Biomedical and Health Science student, you’ll be studying in the unique environment of the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute (BDI), which will immerse you in some of the world’s most cutting-edge biomedical research. You’ll be able to set the stage for your successful future by establishing a network of leading researchers in Australia’s most highly-funded biomedical research hub.
This course presents an opportunity for high-achieving students to develop an advanced knowledge of biomedicine alongside similarly motivated peers. Your small, tight-knit cohort will take classes, and study and conduct experiments in the purpose-built Biomedical Learning and Teaching Building. As a graduate of this course, you’ll already be connected with fellow future leaders in the biomedical sciences.
Committed to making discoveries that will relieve the future burden of disease, the Monash BDI brings together more than 120 internationally-renowned research teams, comprising more than 700 researchers. Tackling the big challenges in biomedical research is no longer the domain of a single scientific discipline. The only Australian research body to focus on so many global health priorities in one location, Monash BDI’s cross-disciplinary researchers are supported by world-class research infrastructure and technologies, and partner with industry, clinicians and researchers internationally to enhance lives through discovery.
