New super computer at Monash University simplifies science in pictures

A new $6 million super-computer dubbed M3 opened at Monash University in February as part of the MASSIVE project. It will allow researchers specialised processing powers to help solve very complex, data-rich problems, such as building three dimensional X-ray images at micrometre resolution or complex mapping to show the interconnections between millions of brain cells. The opening was reported in the Financial Review.
