Health professions educators are usually also busy clinicians with many demands on their time. Our courses are flexible and tailored to the learning needs of professionals through an innovative process for completion of award degrees.
The Graduate Certificate of Health Professions Education (24CP), comprises the 12CP HPE5100 Foundations in Health Professions Education unit and 2 short courses (6cp each).
* Assessed short courses must be chosen from the eligible short courses offered by the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health.
Delivery Mode:

Duration of course:
- The standard duration of this course is one year part time. Participants have a maximum of three years to complete the unit and short course requirements (24CP).
The HPE5100 Foundations of Health Professions Education unit is delivered online over a 12 week period through online discussions, interactive webinars and required readings. It is recommended that you allow up to 15 hours a week of study for this unit.
Participants who successfully complete 2 of the assessed versions of the following short courses will be granted 6 credit points each towards the Graduate Certificate at Monash University.
