Honours and Higher Degrees by Research

Join us and study at the Sub-Faculty of Clinical And Molecular Medicine (SF-CaMM)

For students considering a career in medical research, opportunities offered at the SF-CaMM can open many doors. A growing number of gifted students have progressed from Honours through successful PhDs and postdocs to become highly successful, independent researchers and biomedical professionals.

Our unique collaborative research environment, the SF-CaMM encompasses the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health (SCS)Hudson Institute of Medical  Research, Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation and Victorian Heart Institute in partnership with Monash Health, Victoria’s largest hospital network.  At the forefront of clinical translational research, SF-CaMM has demonstrated research strengths in various research areas.

Our senior academic staff are mostly health professionals who work closely with colleagues in Monash Health, translating scientific discoveries into clinical practice in an innovative and collaborative environment. We have a strong focus on both discovery and translational research with real clinical issues driving research questions addressed in laboratories.  Similarly, laboratory-derived discoveries can be rapidly tested in relevant clinical settings.

You could be working in our recently opened state-of-the-art Translational Research Facility, co-locating research, clinical and technological platforms to accelerate and coordinate the translation of scientific breakthroughs.
