Honours and Higher Degrees by Research
Our unique collaborative research environment, the Monash Health Translation Precinct (MHTP) encompasses the School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health (SCS), Hudson Institute of Medical Research and Monash Health, Victoria’s largest hospital network. At the forefront of clinical translational research, MHTP has demonstrated research strengths in various research areas.
Our senior academic staff are mostly health professionals who work closely with colleagues in Monash Health, translating scientific discoveries into clinical practice in an innovative and collaborative environment. We have a strong focus on both basic and translational research with real clinical issues driving research questions addressed in laboratories. Similarly, laboratory-derived discoveries can be rapidly tested in relevant clinical settings.
You could be amongst our first to work in our recently opened state-of-the-art Translational Research Facility, co-locating research, clinical and technological platforms to accelerate and coordinate the translation of scientific breakthroughs.
For students considering a career in medical research, opportunities offered at MHTP can open many doors. A growing number of gifted students have progressed from Honours through successful PhDs and postdocs to become highly successful, independent researchers and biomedical professionals.
