The Sub-Faculty of Clinical and Molecular Medicine (CaMM) represents the University’s research and teaching footprint at Monash Health. It leads cutting-edge education and research across the lifespan and the continuum from discovery, translation and clinical research, through to implementation and health services research. The Sub-Faculty’s co-location at, and partnership with, Monash Health enables direct access to patient populations who benefit directly from our work and is driven to generate world-leading health outcomes.

The School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health is a vibrant hub of teaching and translational research in collaboration with Monash Health, Victoria's largest hospital network. We provide a diverse range of specialities and are at the forefront of medical, clinical/translational research and education.

Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation

The Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation aims to deliver health impact by partnering with the community, clinicians and researchers to co-create knowledge, and use implementation to drive equitable, quality health care and public health.

Monash Victorian Heart Institute

Monash Victorian Heart Institute is simple; to deliver research, education and training excellence which turns into measurable change in the rates of heart disease in Australia.

Hudson Institute of Medical Research

Hudson Institute of Medical Research is a leading independent Australian medical research institute recognised internationally for its discovery science and translational research. Hudson Institute partners with Monash University through the Sub-Faculty of Clinical and Molecular Medicine.

Stroke recovery project receives MRFF Cardiovascular Health funding

A research project to develop integrated datasets to improve stroke recovery, interventions, and therapy plans has been awarded a $4.9 million 2025 Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Cardiovascular Health grant.

A new, highly accurate preclinical model to study sepsis and save lives

A new clinically-relevant model of sepsis developed by Dr Cameron Bastow and team is now being used in an MRFF-funded research to reveal if sodium ascorbate (a pH-balanced form of Vitamin C) could be an effective treatment for sepsis.
