Celebrating 25 years
Celebrating 25 Years | The impact | Our courses | The journey
For 25 years, Monash Wound Care has been dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by wounds through world-leading education, clinical research and collaboration.
From pioneering postgraduate programs to driving national reform, our team has helped shape wound care practice in Australia and beyond. Thousands of nurses, doctors, pharmacists, podiatrists and allied health professionals have graduated from Monash’s wound care programs, applying their skills in hospitals, community care, aged care and health leadership roles.
As we mark this milestone, we celebrate the clinicians, educators and alumni who continue to advance wound care knowledge, translate research into practice and improve outcomes for people with wounds every day.

Our Courses and Legacy in Education
Monash University offers Australia’s only comprehensive suite of postgraduate wound care programs, developed by clinicians for clinicians. For 25 years, these programs have built the national wound care workforce and shaped best-practice standards now embedded in initiatives such as the Chronic Wound Consumables Scheme. Over 6,000 health professionals have enrolled in the national training, leading to improved knowledge and skills in wound care nationally.
Combining academic rigour with real-world application, our courses equip health professionals with the knowledge and confidence to improve patient outcomes and lead innovation in care.
Courses are delivered in hybrid and online formats, allowing health professionals to balance study with work and life commitments. Find out more about studying Wound Care at Monash.
