Amy Body
Dr Amy Body,BSc (Med), MBBS, FRACP, is a Medical Oncologist with a keen focus on gastrointestinal cancers and a strong research portfolio in early phase clinical trials. She completed her medical training at Monash University and has undertaken both advanced clinical and research-oriented fellowships in major tertiary centers, gaining expertise in trial design and drug development.
Originally joining Monash Health as a Phase I clinical trials fellow in 2020, Dr Body integrated clinical care with leading research on therapeutic innovations, including investigations on COVID-19 vaccination responses in cancer patients. Upon completion of her fellowship, she joined the early-phase trials team as Principal Investigator on novel phase I studies of molecularly targeted agents, aiming to advance the field of precision medicine and improve outcomes for hard-to-treat cancers.
Dr Body’s commitment is exemplified by her focus on bringing new therapies to patients through trial participation and her involvement in developing the infrastructure that supports the translation of experimental science to clinical benefit.
