André Samson
Dr André Samson is the Head of the Gut Inflammation group at the Centre for Inflammatory Diseases at Monash University. His group investigates the cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Prior to joining Monash University, Dr Samson was a Team Leader in the Inflammation Division at the Walter and Elisa Hall Institute for Medical Research, where his team studied the models, mechanisms and clinical ramifications of an inflammatory form of cell death known as necroptosis.
