Anthony Dat

Dr Anthony Dat MBBS MSc(Oxford) MS FRACS is a Consultant Urologist in Melbourne, Australia. He currently has public appointments as a VMO Urologist at Monash Health and Alfred Health with a particular focus on complex renal stones and urological cancers.

Born and bred in Ipswich Queensland, Dr Dat graduated from medical school at Bond University. He moved to Victoria for surgical training and completed Urology training via the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) training scheme. He obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2022 where he was awarded the Peter Lawson Award for Best Victorian Registrar. Dr Dat then completed further subspecialty training in uro-oncology and robotic surgery at Oxford University Hospital NHS Trust in 2025.

Dr Dat has also completed a Masters of Surgery from the University of Sydney as well as a Masters of Science (Surgical Science and Practice) from Oxford University. He has research interests in urology, oncology, stone disease, environmental health, artificial intelligence and robotic applications in surgery.
