A/Prof Rogers is an infectious diseases physician and clinical researcher. He is based at Monash Health and the Monash University. A/Prof Rogers graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Hons) from Monash University in 2001 and qualified as an Infectious Diseases specialist in 2009. He completed a Doctor of Philosophy (The University of Queensland, 2015) in the epidemiology of antibiotic resistant bacteria and their molecular microbiology.
A/Prof Rogers' research areas include clinical trials of blood-stream infections, the epidemiology and treatment of multi-resistant bacterial infections, optimising the use of out-patient antimicrobial therapy and clinical trials of new anti-infective agents. As a clinician, he works within the Monash Health Infectious Diseases service and in private practice. He is the clinical lead for the Monash Hospital in the Home program.
