Daphne Day

Dr Daphne Day, MBBS (Hons), FRACP, is a Medical Oncologist and adjunct senior lecturer at Monash Health and Monash University who sub-specialises in early phase clinical trials, breast cancer, and head and neck malignancies. After graduating from Monash University with honours, she completed her oncology training and subsequently undertook a two-year fellowship at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre’s Drug Development Program in Toronto, where she gained expertise in early drug development.

Since joining Monash in 2017, Dr Day has been instrumental in growing the clinical trial portfolio, acting as principal investigator for over 20 current and completed phase I–III trials. She is recognised for her research into tumour- and blood-based biomarkers of disease burden and recurrence, supported by several competitive grants.

Dr Day’s academic contributions include authoring numerous publications, winning multiple research awards, and serving as a member of scientific committees for regional and international oncology bodies.
