Emily Camm
Dr Emily Camm leads a translational research programme spanning preclinical models and human pregnancy biospecimens, elucidating the molecular and physiological mechanisms by which pregnancy complications disrupt placental structure and neonatal brain development. Her work addresses preterm birth, fetal growth restriction, birth asphyxia and adverse environmental exposures - conditions that together affect a substantial proportion of pregnancies worldwide and for which there remain no treatments targeting the underlying cause.
