Muhammad Alamgeer
Dr Muhammad Alamgeer, MBBS, MD, MRCP, FRACP, is a distinguished Medical Oncologist specialising in thoracic malignancies, head and neck cancers, and melanoma. He trained in internal medicine in the UK, subsequently pursuing a fellowship in medical oncology upon his relocation to Australia, including dedicated fellowship time at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He received his doctorate from Monash University for cancer research, stem cell biology, and therapeutics.
Dr Alamgeer was appointed to Monash Health in 2013, where he provides innovative treatment regimens including chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and immunotherapies, and is a principal investigator on several important clinical trials. He is actively involved with Australasian and international lung and head and neck cancer trial groups and is widely published, presenting regularly at global oncology forums.
Dr Alamgeer’s work is characterised by a multidisciplinary approach, broad clinical expertise, and a deep commitment to early clinical trials to accelerate new therapies into practice for challenging thoracic and solid organ malignancies.
