Simon Craig

Simon Craig is a paediatric emergency medicine physician at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, and an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Paediatrics, School of Clinical Sciences at Monash Health.

With a strong interest in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, Simon also has a Masters of Health Professional Education and a Masters of Public Health. He is chair of the Paediatric Research in Emergency Departments International Collaborative (PREDICT) network, and past chair of the Australian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) Trainee Research Executive Panel and ACEM Emergency Department Epidemiology Network.

Simon has broad research interests in paediatric emergency medicine, with publications spanning the role of parents in recognising critical illness, global studies on asthma and critical procedures, and RCTs in acute behavioural disturbance, status epilepticus, emergency intubation, and respiratory failure.

Simon is editor of the successful Monash Children's Paediatric Emergency Medication Book, now in its third edition (and adapted for Sri Lanka, India, South Africa and Latin America), and an editor of the latest two editions of Textbook of Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
