Monash AIMday: Maths, Climate and Energy meet Industry

How can academia and industry work together to tackle real-world challenges in climate and energy?

On 24 July 2026, Monash researchers and industry partners came together for a day of focused discussion and collaboration across mathematics, climate, energy and AI. Through facilitated sessions centred on industry-led questions, participants drew on expertise spanning mathematical modelling, optimisation, data science, machine learning and the natural and physical sciences to exchange ideas, explore practical solutions and build new connections between academia and industry. The event was co-hosted by the School of Mathematics, Climate Change Science Hub, and Monash AI Institute.
