How to apply
The Faculty of Science offers PhD and master’s by research degrees across a broad range of disciplines spanning the biological, chemical, mathematical and physical sciences.

Step 1. Check your eligibility
Eligibility requirements for graduate research degrees at Monash are set centrally. Firstly, confirm you meet the requirements for your intended course.

A well-prepared application starts before you begin the form. Work through the steps below to prepare for your application.

The above-mentioned scholarship closing dates are applicable for Monash Australia only. Applicants to the School of Science at Monash University Malaysia should refer to the Monash Malaysia graduate research page for application guidance.
Admission-only applications can be submitted at any time throughout the year.
Step 4. Apply
Applications are submitted through the central My.App portal. Before you begin, review the Application Submission Guide for a full list of required supporting documentation.
Step 5. What happens next?
Once you submit your application, it will be directed to your nominated supervisor and the Faculty for review. You may be contacted if further information is required or to discuss your application.
Applications are assessed based on academic achievement, research potential, and alignment with available supervision and faculty research strengths.
