1. Are there prerequisites?
There are no prerequisites to doing this course.
If you wish to receive credit from this course towards a Master's program at Monash University, it would be worth having a conversation with directly with the Monash course coordinator to assess your eligibility. To discuss this further, please email pgradenq@monash.edu.
2. What are my payment options?
We accept payment via PayPal or Credit Card.
Requesting an invoice
We can help you arrange an invoice for your employer. Please email sde@monash.edu with the following information:
Your full name:
Your contact number:
Company details (name + address + ABN number):
Contact person in the company (plus their email):
Once you send these details through, we will generate an online invoice through Monash University's processing system, which may take up to 5 business days.
3. Are there any face-to-face lectures or is physical attendance required?
No, the course is delivered fully online.
There are, however, opportunities for networking throughout the course where participation is encouraged but not mandatory, scheduled after hours.
4. What is meant by "fully online"?
"Fully online" means that all of the course content is delivered digitally, through MSDI's online learning platform. Participating in the course includes engaging in readings, watching videos, completing interactive activities, and participating in quizzes.
The fully online nature of the course means that you complete the course entirely remotely, and within a flexible time frame.
Will the webinar sessions be recorded and uploaded?
The webinar sessions will be recorded and made available to those who can't attend.
5. Will I get a certificate by completing this course?
Yes. A Certificate of Completion is offered to all learners who complete the minimum participation requirements and written assessments.
Monash University has also partnered with Credly’s digital credential platform to provide you with a digital badge for your achievement. Digital badges are a widely used and reputable method of verifying your learning. By sharing your digital badge (usually a small graphic linked to details about your course or credential), you can demonstrate your skills, build trust with your prospective employers and your professional network, and enhance your personal brand and your career. Will I get any qualifications?
A micro-credential is a short course, offering a mini credential in a specific area or discipline. This credential is a form of professional and continuing education, evidencing specific learning or competence in the application of sustainable healthcare in practice. The specific and specialist skills obtained will empower and equip learners with the ability to create changes to workplace challenges.
If you achieve at least 50% in your overall score, you will be eligible to apply for 6 credit points for the equivalent Master's unit (M6024 Master of Public Health, M6024 Master of Public Health, M6038 Master of Health Professions Education – Clinical Sciences or M6039 Master of Clinical Simulation – Clinical Sciences).

6. What assessments are involved?
There are two items of assessment. Detailed assessment guidelines will be provided (in addition to below), and assessments will be graded by the course leaders.
The two items of assessment are described below:

| Assessment Two: Develop a proposal for a sustainable healthcare plan | Integrating research from the first assessment task, participants research and develop a proposal for a sustainable healthcare plan contextualised for a local setting (for example, a hospital, allied health clinic, aged care facility, public health district/service, pathology lab, research facility or other). | 60% |

8. As a doctor currently practising outside of Australia, will the content and case studies be relevant/applicable to me?
Yes. The case studies, while featuring many Australian examples, draw upon best practices from all over the world. The content is highly relevant to healthcare professionals everywhere interested in transitioning toward more sustainable healthcare systems.
