Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Science
Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Science
In an age of increasing technological advancements the synergy between Science and Information Technology will only become stronger. IT underpins virtually all areas of science, and the world needs graduates who can straddle both. With creative and analytical skills, use Science to drive IT forward.
You have the option to select one of four IT majors and up to two of 25 Science areas (e.g. one major and one minor).
Pairing biochemistry with software development could open doors to cutting-edge innovations in laboratory automation, molecular modelling, and biochemical simulations—helping to drive breakthroughs in medicine and biotechnology. Combining physiology with business information systems could put you at the forefront of digital health, designing smart systems that enhance patient care, streamline hospital operations, and revolutionise healthcare management. Meanwhile, an astrophysics and applied cybersecurity major could lead you to a career in deep-space communications, protecting astronomical data and safeguarding the critical infrastructure behind space exploration.
The Bachelor of Information Technology is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS). This means you’ll automatically be eligible to become a member, opening doors to invaluable networking and professional development opportunities.
