Why did you decide to study science?
Science has always fascinated me by being able to answer the “How” and the “why”. Because of that, I cannot see myself pursuing any other field.
What made you choose Monash Uni in particular?
Primarily, its double degree programs. In addition to being a fantastic research centre for many of my STEM interests.
What's your favourite aspect of studying science?
The wide range of learning techniques and access to great lab facilities.
What has been the highlight of your science degree so far?
Burkard Polster’s MTH1030 lectures! They were very engaging, providing us with real and fun applications to the seemingly abstract mathematical concepts that were covered.
What's the biggest misconception you had about studying science before you started your course?
I thought that it was “too theoretical” and has “very little practical aspects”.
If you were to give some advice to someone who is thinking about studying at Monash Science, what would you say?
Keep an open mind when you start - your chosen field may open so many opportunities, you just need to be willing to take on a challenge!

The hardest part of pursuing any goal is to make a start. So, what matters is that you do, regardless of how small or messy the steps you start with are!
