Monash Abroad Orientation 2026

Essential tasks

Set yourself up as a Monash student by completing the following tasks

Before you arrive at Monash

Create your timetable

You will have been enrolled in the units you selected, but will still need to create your timetable on Monash's online system called Allocate+. You can log in to Allocate+ here to enter your timetable preferences from 15 - 19 June, 2026.

If you want to view the class times for various units (modules/courses), you can do so via Class Timetable.

If you have problems, please submit a timetable help form and advise that you are an exchange/study abroad student so that the timetabling team can assist you accordingly.

Allocate+ drop-in advising sessions will also be held during Monash Abroad Orientation, if you require further in-person support.

If you want to request any changes to your enrolment, Exchange and Study Abroad students should complete this form (from 15 June onwards), and Monash Malaysia or Monash Indonesia students should contact their school.

Before submitting your enrolment amendment request, please check the units in Allocate+ to ensure the timetable suits you. For further instructions, refer to the "How to Create a Timetable Planner" guide.

Finalising your enrolment

Complete your Enrolment Questionnaire

To finalise your enrolment at Monash you will need to complete your Enrolment Questionnaire in the Monash Web Enrolment System (WES). One of the questions asks for your Unique Student Identifier (USI) number, which IS NOT required for exchange and study abroad students. Please skip this question.

Changing your enrolment

Monash Abroad should be your first point of contact if you wish to make changes to your enrolment. You may request changes by completing this form, or come and see us at our drop-in advising sessions during Monash Abroad orientation if you need further guidance.

If you want to enrol in any units that have not been pre-approved by Monash, you will need to:

  • Upload a complete and up-to-date original transcript (certified English copy is sufficient) from your home institution in case we need to check your eligibility for the units.
  • You may also need to provide syllabi for previously completed units to satisfy any pre-requisite requirements, if applicable.

It is your responsibility to get approval from your home institution before making any changes to your enrolment at Monash.

Enrolment deadlines

You are able to add new units to your enrolment up until the end of the second week of classes. If you want to withdraw from a unit please complete the Monash Abroad form (sent to you during Orientation) to do so before the census date. If you miss this date you will be liable for fees here or at your home institution, and will have ‘withdrawn’ shown on your academic record/transcript.

The census date, or enrolment cut-off date, for Semester 2, 2026 is 31 August, 2026. For other teaching periods (such as for some postgraduate law units), census dates will vary so please check the link.

Getting involved in student life

There are many ways to get involved as a Monash student; here are a few suggestions to help get you started:

  • Join your Student Association: your student association hosts events throughout the semester, and also can provide you with advocacy and support.
  • Join a club, sporting team or student society: clubs, sporting teams, and student societies are a great way to get involved in the Monash community and meet people with similar interests
  • Join a Non-Residential College: if you are not living on campus, you can join a non-residential college to connect with other students through on-campus/online events and receive support from college advisers
  • Student events: find out about the events on campus throughout the semester
