Diana Egerton-Warburton

Professor Diana Egerton-Warburton is a Senior Emergency Physician at Monash Health. She is the Conjoint Professor for Emergency Care Research at Monash University, Melbourne Australia. She has a passion for patient, health system, community and climate advocacy. She has led numerous multi-site clinical trials with an emphasis on pragmatic, implementation research, to reduce unhelpful care. Achieving the triple aim of improving the patient experience of care, improving the health of populations, and reducing the per capita cost of healthcare including climate impact. She has received more than 16 million dollars of grant in the last 5 years including 8M as CIA. She is an adjunct professor at Monash Art, Design and Architecture, Design Health Collab and uses design thinking to address unmet clinical and health system needs. She was a lead CI on research to quantify alcohol harm in EDs that involved more than 120 sites across Australian and New Zealand. She is the medical Co-Chair of Emergency Research Collaborative at Monash University, Inaugural Chair of the Monash Partners Emergency Care Theme, Deputy-Chair of Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, Network Clinical Trials Network and Research Advisory Committee and an executive member of the Emergency Department Epidemiology Network. Prof Egerton-Warburton’s key skill is listening to stakeholders, particularly consumers and clinicians and using data and stories to drive healthcare improvement.
