Employer of Choice for Gender Equality
Monash is a proud recipient of the Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (2019) citation by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency. The citation recognises our long-standing commitment to creating an inclusive culture in which female staff participate equally at all levels.
Athena SWAN Bronze Award
We achieved an inaugural Athena SWAN Bronze award (2018-2023) through the Science in Australia Gender Equity initiative. This award recognises our commitment to advancing gender equality in STEMM disciplines and beyond.
AWEI Silver Employer
The Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI) is the national benchmark on LGBTIQ workplace inclusion. It measures policy, practice, programs and inclusive culture. Our commitment to supporting LGBTIQ staff at Monash has earned us Silver employer status in the AWEI 2020.
Pride in diversity membership
We are a member of Pride in Diversity: Australia’s first and only national not-for-profit employer support program for all aspects of LGBTIQ workplace inclusion.
